Well, I’ll be darned. That President Joe Biden warned about? The one leaving billions of dollars worth of military equipment behind? THAT President turned out to be none other than Joe Biden, himself!
And that’s not all. The New York Post published an article listing the six whoppers Joe Biden promoted about our unruly exit, including the promise that all US citizens and Afghans who assisted our military would be removed from the country. They weren’t. He also pledged to extract Afghan women leaders and journalists. He didn’t. And he claimed there were no parallels between the fall of the country to the Taliban and the fall of Saigon to the Viet Cong. There were plenty.
But the worst lie of all? 2021 Biden claimed we had no indication of ISIS-K terrorists at the Kabul airport. But, they set off the explosion that killed 13 US servicemen.
Despite all the mistakes and mistruths, 2021 Biden could only complement himself on the bumbling, stumbling, fumbling, deadly US exit from Afghanistan. He deemed the fiasco “An extraordinary success,” adding, “"If anything, the developments of the past week reinforce that ending US military involvement in Afghanistan now was the right decision."
Donald Trump was already drawing down our troops and executing an orderly campaign to completely withdraw from Afghanistan when he was ousted at the polls in 2020 under questionable circumstances.
The decision is in! The winner by acclaim is 2007 Joe Biden. The loser is 2021 Joe Biden.
And in his rematch with Donald Trump, we can only hope the BIGGEST loser will be 2024 Joe Biden.
