You Cannot Deceive God

When reading in Jeremiah chapter 42 I was struck with how easily we can approach God with deceitful motives. We pray, asking God for a spiritual download, for wisdom, for help, to know what to do, but we may already have decided to go a certain direction. I observe, and I've done this too, that we approach God as our friend, but we can easily forget that He's holy. He holds us accountable. While we can boldly go to His throne, we need to go with pure motives. In this video I share my conclusions and several scriptures that relate.
