Gefreiter Frantz Reihbeger was a soldier of the 54th Jäger Regiment who took part in the storming of "Mamayev Kurgan" and the factory " Krasny Oktyabr". On January 30, 1943, his unit capitulated, and the former Wehrmacht soldier ended up in Soviet captivity. After suffering physical agony and mental torture, Frantz returned to his homeland five years after he had left it.
