Good Morning, Hypocrisy!

ITV's "Good Morning Britain" presenter Richard Madeley represents the very worst of British journalism. Just last month, he denied Britain's historic debts to the descendants of enslaved African people before he got schooled by Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali on live television.

Clearly, he did not learn his lesson because, not long after that, on 17 October, he asked a Palestinian member of the UK Parliament, Layla Moran—who has family in Gaza—if her family was aware that the Palestinian resistance group Hamas was going to carry out the atrocious 7 October massacre against Israeli civilians.

The sheer audacity of the question aside, the over-generalisation of all Palestinians as somehow connected to Hamas can only be described as ignorant and racist.
