Suffer the Little Children

Is your god REALLY God if he tells you to kidnap innocent civilians, rape and torture women and then shout, “Allah be praised” afterward. Does your god order you to kill children and behead babies?

Should you worship a god like that?

Jesus Christ loves little children. He clearly proved that in Matthew 19:14 in a conversation with his disciples, which reads, “But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” In Matthew 18:3, Jesus taught, “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
In recent days, violent, bloody men have slaughtered little children in the name of their god. This god does not lay down his life for the brethren. He demands the slaughter of infidels, promising instant passage to paradise for being martyred in a holy war. Recently, his followers praised this god after taking the lives of innocent children, and decapitating adults and babies in Israel. And yet, the Bible tells us that the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. We have to wonder why God, who laid down His own life to save our souls, would ever ask some of His children to slaughter others.
The little children in our world are suffering like never before in our times. But this is not the kind of “suffering” that Jesus desires. To be precise, in Matthew 18:6, He warned those who would harm such little ones with this truly frightening promise, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”
So, which one is the real God. The One who loves every child in creation. Or the one who demands they be slain for the crime of being born into the wrong family…in the wrong country…in a very wrong world. And remember, God knew in advance where each and every one of those children would be born.
He certainly gives us a lot to think about; doesn’t He?
