John Chapter 2

The Way Church 9/24/23
We started working through the second chapter in John. This chapter begins on the 7th day of Jesus’ ministry and includes His first miracle, where He turned water into wine.
Jesus did this discreetly. He did not violate the Father’s will because He did not publicize what He did… the credit went to the bridegroom. The humanity of Christ is shown here, He respects His mother and also rebukes her for her for asking Him to do something to fix the situation. Both sides of Jesus are perfectly natural and perfectly laid out.
Jesus came to earth to validate that He is the Messiah. The use of miracles was a means to an end. Jesus’ purpose is not to just do this or that. The timing of Jesus’ miracles are all according to the Father’s plan.
