ISRO to Test Gaganyaan Crew Module in Lead-up for Manned Space Mission

The Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO is all set to launch the test flight of its Gaganyaan crew module which is scheduled for October 21. The test vehicle named TV-D1 is a Flight Test Vehicle Abortion mission which will demonstrate the crew escape mechanism part of the Gaganyaan programme.

ISRO plans to send the manned version of Gaganyaan into space by 2025. ISRO also plans to commence manned space exploration in the next two decades.
