As a same-gender loving man of Color, I try my best to listen to/affirm the experiences of our trans family, especially when it comes to our Trans Sisters of Color. I'm still learning more about the TQ+ experience, tbh. But it's IMPERATIVE to ACTIVELY learn and educate simultaneously. Shout out to Hope Giselle for her wisdom and honesty, as well as her critiques.

The commentary I've been hearing recently (historically, decades now) surrounding Queer people (I use Queer as a blanketed term for LGBTQIA+) has been saturated with fear/ignorance/insecurities. And the projection of those fears have ACTIVELY damaged the lives/experiences/existence of queer people. Queer people are NOW in control of their OWN narratives and that bothers alot of yall. It's like y'all are afraid of people who CHOOSE to be free . . .
