10/20/23 card: not personal

Have you heard the phrase “hurt people hurt people?” When someone is struggling, they are more likely to lash out at others. So often we take things personally - especially from the people closest to us - when their words or actions have nothing to do with us. It’s a gentle reminder that even when we don’t intend it, our words and actions could be hurtful. It’s also a reminder that the harsh words and actions of others aren’t always intended for us. Be kind and compassionate.
