Dad was the IBM DDAS Network Launch Controller for Apollo and Skylab.

DDAS is the "Network" of both hardlines and RF to the IBM IU Instrument Unit on the Saturn Boosters.

Dad ensured signal quality to and from the LUT and the Firing Room.

So he got to hang out on the LUT dealing with Network Drives Cards that can send a signal through 2 miles of cable to the LCC and Launch Pad.

Dad knew many people in the LCC including Wernher who he spoke with during down time in the Firing Room of LCC of VAB...

Dad was told some rather revealing information about Wernher's many "hats".
