Minecraft and the Bible - Deuteronomy 13-16

In this Let's Play series, we'll be listening to the next four chapters of the book of Deuteronomy from the Bible while playing Minecraft! We'll follow Moses as he continues to exhort the Israelites to obey God's commands, warning them against false prophets and idolatry.

*as an additional side note, this is my first experience with Minecraft, so this Let's Play will probably move a bit slow.

Chapter 13: Moses warns the Israelites against false prophets and idolaters. He instructs them to put to death anyone who entices them to worship other gods.

Chapter 14: Moses outlines the dietary laws that the Israelites are to follow. He also gives instructions on how to observe the festivals of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Weeks, and Booths.

Chapter 15: Moses commands the Israelites to release their Hebrew slaves every seven years. He also instructs them to be generous to the poor and needy.

Chapter 16: Moses repeats the instructions for observing the festivals of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Weeks, and Booths. He also adds the Feast of Tabernacles.

Deuteronomy 13-16 serves as a reminder of the importance of obedience to God's commands, the dangers of false prophets and idolatry, and the importance of social justice. Moses' passionate plea to the Israelites resonates with believers today, challenging us to live according to God's will and to care for those in need.
