It may not be an exaggeration to say that the modern state of Israel is one of the most disliked nations in the world. It is frequently denounced by the U.N. and media outlets—hating Israel almost seems to be fashionable. The nation does have its friends to be sure. Generally, the United States and, at times, Great Britain have stood by the country, and other, smaller nations have, as well, which we will see. But it is hard to avoid the impression that, by and large, taking a public stand against the nation of Israel seems to be incredibly popular in the West and in the press. Why?
