TEXAS - THE BEST OF

Texas was formed in December 1985 by singer Sharleen Spiteri, guitarist Ally McErlaine, bassist Johnny McElhone, former member of Altered Images and then Hipsway, and drummer Stuart Kerr, formerly of Love and Money. Their name refers to the film Paris, Texas by Wim Wenders, released in 1984. Their first performance took place in March 1988 at the University of Dundee in Scotland. Singer Sharleen Spiteri is the muse and main face of the group and participates in the writing of a number of songs, alongside Johnny McElhone.
