FROM THE ARCHIVES: Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Lloyd Price (2017)

On September 21, 2017, I had the pleasure of speaking with a true musical pioneer, Lloyd Price. Covered by hundreds of notable musicians, Price is definitely the only artist to have been covered by The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Grateful Dead, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac and U2’s Bono. When I spoke with Mr. Price -- which happened thanks to super-publicist Cary Baker at Conqueroo, who I mentioned a few times during this conversation -- the singer was promoting his first new album in a long while, "This Is Rock And Roll." Besides speaking about his new music, we talked about what brought him from Louisiana to New York, his successes outside of music, and what he was still looking to accomplish. A fun conversation, to say the least.
