Mephibosheth has been taken from Lodebar – without pasture – and has been given a green pasture. David did not have to do this. He did not owe Saul anything. David could have left well enough alone and not done anything for Mephibosheth. What you see here is a picture of God’s loving kindness. His grace to you in salvation.
