Why were healthy 12-15 year-olds given dangerous Covid-19 injections against JCVI advice?

In September 2021, the JCVI recommended against giving 12-15 year-olds in the UK the experimental Covid-19 vaccinations because of 'significant uncertainties around the safety of the two mRNA vaccines' including heart issues like myocarditis and pericarditis. Incredibly, this recommendation was overruled and children were put forward for the trial without any proper discussion or debate on the potential side-effects of the novel gene therapy injections. In Ireland, despite so-called Covid-19 posing minimal risk to 12-15 year-olds, the roll-out went ahead with queues forming in vaccination centres like Citywest in Dublin on what was described as an 'historic' day on August 14, 2021. The injections were touted as 'safe and effective'.
