From Stefan: "Most of my early career was spent as a freelance animation director,
working with studios such as Aardman Animation (do they have Wallace and
Gromit in the US?) on a wide range of fun TV idents, commercials and films.

I've always shared my passion for animation with a love for cars,
motorsport and car design. My interest in these has led to some
hugely exciting commissions from many well-known manufacturers and events -
as well as documenting the build of two land speed record cars.

I've made some great (and slightly eccentric) friends in the vintage car
world - with whom I've had some unforgettable road trips. When I sketched
the poster with all the Land Speed Record cars on it, I never would have
dreamed that one day I would sit in the passenger seat of the 1905 200hp
Darracq for 1000 miles across France - or be flambé-d by the exhaust of the
Beast of Turin on trips across the UK and on the continent.

As a regular face at Vintage Sports Car Club events I am often asked when I
am going to get a vintage car of my own and I am now dipping my toe in the
water (or my fingers in the sludgy sump) of my brother's 1928 RPU as we try
to gently restore it. It's a kit of parts really and looks to have had a
hard life with lots of very worn and hastily repaired parts. But it seems to
want to run and I'm really looking forward to our first ride. I have a pipe
dream of one day doing an American road trip in a model A - driving a short
distance in the morning and then sketching and getting to meet the locals
in the afternoon. Perhaps I'll do a test run here in the UK first.

The illustration of the postal truck was one I did as a private commission
on the iPad. Unusually for me it has a background and tells a bit of a
story. I really hope your Dad likes the print and am looking forward to
seeing more of the truck on your channel. Thanks for the informative films
