TRIAL BY JURY #justice #jury

The true nature of a Trial by Jury, as envisaged in the Magna Carta and recognised in the governing echelons of the judiciary even today, is to make sure that ordinary members of the community are empowered to road test all legislation (i.e. true democracy) so that there is no chance that the government becomes authoritarian in its approach which currently is where we are heading.
