This Friday at 6PM we look at the case of Officer Jason Ellis.

BARDSTOWN, Ky. —
It's now been a decade since 33-year-old Bardstown Officer Jason Ellis was ambushed and killed, and to this day, we still don't know who did it or why.

He was the first Bardstown officer 150 years to be killed in the line of duty.

Just before 3 a.m., Bardstown Officer Jason Ellis stopped at the Bluegrass Parkway Exit 34 to remove debris from the roadway. He was on his way home after finishing up an overnight shift.

Police believe Ellis was removing debris from the road when he was shot and killed. They said he never fired his service weapon and that it was still holstered.
