You Can Go to College OR You Can Travel the World

If you had the choice between going to college or traveling the world, which would you choose? I wish someone would have explained me how much it costs to go to college before I went and then weighed the balance of cost of university against the price of traveling the world. I started college at about the worst time possible, right when tuition costs we're rising and the job market was crashing. So, I graduated college with tens of thousands of dollars worth of student debt and into a deflated job market. That's partly why I started traveling the world right away. Over time, I found that traveling the world is actually less expensive than going to college and I could learn just as much about the world and myself. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't gone to college and that I had spent more time traveling the world. You could skip college and travel the world many times over with how much tuition costs these days. You could start a handful of businesses, fail them, and start again while traveling the world instead of going to college right now. You can learn from your own mistakes, from those around you, and other world travelers. Which form of education suits you? Going to college, or traveling the world? You can take a gap year, and then go to college, or just travel indefinitely.
