How to Paint your counters to look like Travertine stone

I have sanded, taped and primed my ugly green Formica counter tops. After the first coat of primer was dry, I sanded again and then primed again.
Now I am sponging the first base coat onto the primer. I mixed my first cost with one part paint and 4 parts glaze. When this dries, I will add my 2nd color.
