Disassembly:
1. **Clearing the Firearm:** Adam removes the magazine and racks the slide to the rear. He physically and visually inspects the chamber and mag well to ensure the firearm is clear.

2. **Takedown Lever:** With the slide locked back, Adam pushes the takedown lever clockwise down into the frame, locking it in the 6 o'clock position.

3. **Slide Removal:** Adam pushes the slide release down into the frame, allowing the slide to slide off the front of the frame.

4. **Frame Set Aside:** The frame is set aside as it's broken down as much as needed.

5. **Recoil Spring:** Adam compresses the recoil spring towards the front of the slide and removes it.

6. **Barrel Removal:** Adam pushes up on the bottom of the barrel and slides it out of the slide.

Reassembly:
1. **Barrel:** The smooth side of the barrel faces down and is slid into the slide from the front.

2. **Recoil Spring:** The front part of the recoil spring faces the front of the slide. Adam compresses the spring and lets it catch on a notch in the barrel.

3. **Slide onto Frame:** Adam starts at the front of the frame and slides it all the way back, locking it with the slide lock.

4. **Takedown Lever:** Adam flips the takedown lever back up into its original position.

5. **Function Check:** Adam releases the slide lock and performs a function check, ensuring the trigger pulls and resets properly.
