Tale of the Amazons

The Amazons were real. They resided in Libya, originally. They defeated the Atlantians who then made peace with them and convinced the Amazons to battle the Gorgons. Foolishly taking up the challenge, the Amazon Queen Myrina, ordered over 30,000 Amazons to battle the Gorgons (women warriors) and both tribes were nearly exterminated. The remaining Amazons moved on to the Greek islands and some up into Scythia.
