Hawk On A Wire - October 12th, 2023

While riding my Aostirmotor E-Bike ( only hard pedaling, since there something wrong with the electrical components ), I came across a hawk trying to pull a long worm out of the grass. So I had to stop and check him out. After he snacked on the worm, he decided to get a birds-eye view of the area by flying up to perch on a low-lying power line above him. I walked over underneath him, where he was only about 3 feet above my head. He didn't seem to mind or care, since he knew that if I was to try and get at him, he was just far enough out of reach, so he felt safe. A few cars passed by to take a gander as well. I was waiting with the camera to catch him flying away. Unfortunately, a guy in a truck stopped to check him out and talk to me, and right when I turned my back the hawk began to take off. I caught only the last part of his flight up into a nearby tree.
