The Mars Helicopter, named Ingenuity, is a technology demonstration conducted by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as part of the Mars 2020 mission. It marked the first attempt at powered, controlled flight of an aircraft on another planet.Ingenuity was designed to test the feasibility and potential of flight on Mars. It is a small, lightweight helicopter with specially designed rotor blades that are larger and spin faster than what would be necessary for an Earth helicopter of its size.
