The sun is the earth’s clock constantly circling clockwise above the earth one rotation every 24 hours a day. The sun controls the seasons by travelling between the tropics. The spring equinox is the beginning of the spring season and the sun is located above the equator and travelling north to the tropic of cancer. The summer solstice is the beginning of the summer season and the sun is located above the tropic of cancer. The sun then begins travelling south. The autumn equinox is the beginning of the fall season and the sun is located above the equator and travelling south to the tropic of Capricorn. The winter solstice is the beginning to the winter season and the sun is located above the tropic of Capricorn. The sun then begins travelling north and when the sun is again located above the spring equinox one year has commenced which is 364 days. The moon is also constantly circling clockwise above the earth but slower than the sun and lunar cycle occurs when the sun has lapped the moon one rotation.
