Can animals be considered Zen?

Well, apparently yes.

Compared to the animals in this list, perhaps humans might need some work - first we can start with shaving our heads and maintaining a lotus position for 1 hour and possibly consume only vegetables.

Yet by fighting our nature it feels like we go against how this Zen animals behave true to their nature.

This begs the question, can predators be Zen?

Well it is in their nature to hunt other animals so I can't say for sure, regardless, here's a list where we might learn something.
