2nd Amendment Empowers People to Resist Tyranny

During House Judiciary Committee hearing on October 27, 2021, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) asked Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) what he uses semi-automatic weapons for.

Rep. Chip Roy: The very existence of the Second Amendment is designed purposely to empower the people to be able to resist the force of tyranny use against them to step over their natural rights given to them by God. That is why the Second Amendment exists. That is very specifically why the Second Amendment exist. Let's be very clear about that.
