They thought he was reading from the New Testament

He wasn't - this trained multilingual Pastor was reading Isaiah 53 which is from the Old Testament which was written approximately 800 years before the arrival of Jesus Christ and which accurately described his Crucifixion by the Orthodox Pharisees.
