1. **Birth and Noble Lineage (around 585):** St. Faro was born into a noble family in Burgundy, France. His sister, St. Fara, founded a famous Convent and was known for her miracles.
2. **Youth and Valor:** Faro displayed prudence and valor in battle during his youth, gaining esteem from King Thibert of Austrasia and other kings in France.
3. **Role in the Court of Kings:** In 613, Faro became one of King Clotaire II's Counsel and was a strong defender of the monarchy. He played a significant role in the war against the Saxons.
4. **Gift of Counsel:** Faro had the gift of counsel, which he used to help the unfortunate and oppressed. Two notable incidents illustrate his gift: he saved Saxon ambassadors from execution by interceding and converting them, and he persuaded King Clotaire to help a poor woman in need.

7. **Counselor of Kings:** He became a counselor of King Clotaire and later the chancellor of King Dagobert I, holding an influential position in the kingdom.
8. **Monastic Life:** After living apart from his wife, Faro became a monk, dedicating his life solely to serving the Lord.
9. **Influence on Kings:** As a counselor, Faro advised kings on matters of eternal life, war, peace, finances, and the presentation of a Catholic model, always prioritizing spiritual guidance over worldly ambitions.
10. **Legacy and Devotion:** St. Faro's life serves as a symbol of piety, faith, combativeness, and the gift of counsel. His fame persisted through centuries, and his legacy continues to inspire devotion and admiration.
St. Faro, pray for us!
