Lost Signal | Baraka Visual Remix (Music Video)

Lost Signal is the first single from our album Black Kid Miracles.

Concept of song was to explore what defines our humanity, the chorus reflects on our relationship with technology and how that is reshaping how we connect with the planet, spirituality and each other. The first verse looks at how the wars for conflict minerals affects young child soldiers and how the economic motivations behind these conflicts are rarely reported by mainstream media. The second verse asks the question what defines justice? How much has changed for us as a people since the abolition of slavery. The bridge reflects through the eyes of women the struggles faced to survive, the scars left that never fully heal, whole at the same time celebrating their inner beauty, strength and resilience to keep loving. With the metaphor of the woman also representing Earth and humanities relationship with the planet.
