On February 16, 2023, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, officers responded to a 911 call triggered by an Apple Watch, indicating that a car crash had occurred. When officers arrived, it was immediately clear that the driver, named Kirsten, was intoxicated. After determining that Kirsten was okay, she agreed to do FSTs but soon after started resisting officers orders. She was then cuffed and placed in an ambulance.

Kirsten was transported to the hospital where she was read her rights and an evidentiary blood test was taken, reports did not indicate the BAC of the test. She was then medically cleared before being taken to jail.

Kristen was given citations for OWI, 1st offense, hit and run, wrong way on a divided highway, and failure to keep vehicle under control. She was charged with and found guilty of hit and run and resisting or obstructing an officer.
