Today we will go over economic data and how governments manipulate or financially engineer them in order to make the economy look better than it actually is.

We will first look at how GDP is calculated and then look at the latest data for US GDP in the third quarter.

The conclusion here is that Uncle Sam is borrowing massive amounts in order to increase government spending and that is making GDP look better than it would otherwise be if the government was running a balanced budget.
