In the winter of 2022, the prime minister and deputy prime minister of Canada labelled average citizens supporting a truckers’ convoy as terrorists. Like fire, the term spread amongst Canadians who trust their government. The base concept behind terror is fear. The use of this obvious misnomer did and should have its consequences: lack of confidence in the people who uttered it.
