The Right To Hate

This is a poem written and performed by Chris McGlade from Scotland. It’s about our right as human beings to hate just as it is our right to love. We don’t have to be politically correct, we can just be us. If we don’t have the right to express our feelings then do we really have any rights at all. Without the right to hate or to love we are nothing more than empty puppets on a cold and desolate plain. We might as well be the chattel that the parasites that have been trying to kill us for the past several years think of us all. Everyone is entitled to the feelings that they feel and no one should be allowed to silence them no matter if you agree with them or not! Our generation was taught that we shouldn’t label anyone because no one is a single thing. We shouldn’t see the color of one’s skin as anything to hate, envy or judge one by. It comes down to “Are you a good person or an evil person”, and they come in all skin colors and nationality’s. Hates bad you say, yes it is, but are you able to tell a child who’s been raped that they don’t have the right to hate the adult that hurt them, or a woman who’s been raped she can’t hate the monster that stole a piece of her soul or the man who’s baby was aborted without his knowledge that he can’t feel hate for the woman who murdered his child? It’s not anyones place to take that right away from them. Without hate there would be no Love, nor forgiveness.
