The intense floods in New York resided relatively quickly, especially given New York's aging infrastructure... This however does not mitigate the literal feet of rain that fell in such a short time. Taking a closer look, New Jersey and New York power plant exhaust facilities aided in the formation of the Cumulonimbus clouds which produced the downpour.
