This is the COLDEST winter Kenya has ever seen so we had to leave Nairobi and head to the beautiful Kenyan coast for a few days to warm up!

We obviously picked Watamu as it is our favorite part of the coast and decided to stay at The Mida Creek beach resort which is perfectly located on, you guessed it, the Mida Creek.

This small beach hotel is very intimate with a maximum capacity of 20 guests. It also has cute rooms, a nice pool and an almost private beach access.

Otherwise, we finally went and tried The Crab Shack which is an icon on the Kenya Coast. Overall the food was average and the service extremely slow. We highly suggest that you try Lichthaus instead which is much closer to most hotels in Watamu and is just better in every way!
