Marky Billson's three candidates to replace George Quarles as ETSU Buccaneers football coach

After inheriting a team fresh off the Elite Eight of the FCS playoffs with 14 returning starters, Quarles has promptly gone 0-14 against Division I competition with better than 1-10 records in the two years he's been head coach. This can't continue. The Bucs should consider promoting Billy Taylor (who should be the head coach right now in the first place) or reaching out to Steve Brown or Donnie Abraham. Remember- spring football coaches don't make nearly what their NFL peers do. ETSU won't be able to hire an NFL or major college coordinator for that reason. October 29. 2023.
