Are Babies Agnostics or Atheists? Video Essay

Babies are born with no knowledge or beliefs regarding God's existence or any other topic. They have no philosophical positions at all. As their cognitive abilities develop, they gain the capacity to understand concepts like theism and atheism and may adopt stances on either side. But there is no "default" view, only a gradual acquisition of knowledge and beliefs. The logical dependency of atheism on theism demonstrates that atheism cannot be the primary or "default" position. The negation of a proposition relies on the proposition, not vice versa. While atheism and theism are contradictory, atheism presupposes the concept of theism in order to negate it. The default state is a lack of knowledge and beliefs, not any particular philosophical position on God's existence.
