Highway to Growth: ITD's Plan for Highway 16 Improvement

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is considering several options to improve Highway 16, the main road that connects Emmett to Boise and the rest of the Treasure Valley. Options include widening the highway, building frontage roads, and redesigning intersections. ITD says it will take input from all stakeholders when deciding the future of Highway 16. The agency plans to have a design ready in 4 years and construction starting as early as 2023.
