Don't do what many did 80 years ago. Look directly at it and listen to every word.

Frankly, I'm not sure how these tzadikim are able to do the work that they do.

They must have nightmares. They probably say tehillim (Psalms) constantly and learn so much Torah that it pushes out of their minds, all the horror they see every day.
