Albanese can expect to be 'bugged' in China

The Prime Minister can expect his room and private facilities to be “bugged” during his trip to China.

Experts have made the warning as Anthony Albanese prepares to jet off to Beijing.

National Security Expert Michael Shoebridge has warned the PM’s entourage to “expect the same”.

“What another government and its peak leadership are thinking about and how they are being advised, what they are being briefed on and what information they have, that’s all gold if you want to understand them, negotiate with them and take advantage of them,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News Australia.

Mr Albanese's trip to Beijing marks the first visit by an Australian Prime Minister to China since 2016.
