Richard Storch Interview - Parallels of the Battle of Britain & The Voice - ExCandidates Episode 86

We are joined by Richard Storch, member of the NSW Liberal Democrats.

Richard has been involved politically for several years, providing policy advice for the Liberal Democrats. Recently, Richard was heavily involved on the front lines of the No Campaign during the Voice to Parliament referendum.

As a former caller into the ExCandidates and a friend of Adam and Steven, Richard pitched the discussion that there were strategic and political parallels between the Battle of Britain from World War II and the recent Australian Voice to Parliament referendum.

Richard has dubbed the Voice as ‘Australia’s Battle of Britain’.

We discuss the parallels that Richard has drawn between the two historical events, such as the reaction in the aftermath and the immediate responses, the parallels between notable figures of each era, the similarities in resources that the different sides found themselves with and the competence of each side’s strategies.

Later, the conversation switches to a broader discussion on the events of World War II and how that may be a guide to where Australia is headed currently.
