'Sweden's Journey to NATO Part 1: Destabilising a Decent Country'

After a two-hundred-year period of neutrality, Sweden now wants to join NATO. To protect themselves against 'the new Hitler', Vladimir Putin? Or is it being misled by the US and UK? This first part of the important diptych 'Sweden's Journey to NATO' explains it in detail!

'Sweden's Journey to NATO' was made by the Swedish-British journalist and filmmaker Pelle Neroth Taylor, who recently spoke extensively with program maker Flavio Pasquino about his two-part documentary.

This first part explains how Sweden's neutral status ensured security and prosperity for many years; and how the United States and the United Kingdom manipulated the country against the then Soviet Union. Their deceptions shook centuries of Swedish neutrality.

In his journalistic work, Taylor tries to make the undiscussable discussable. And Sweden's rapprochement with NATO is an example of this. “There were elections last year, but it was not discussed during the campaign. The media didn't talk about it either. And while Sweden has a tradition of holding referendums on controversial issues, that is not the case now.”

That's why Taylor made 'Sweden's Journey to NATO', to warn people about Swedish NATO membership. “I am afraid that we will soon read about Swedish coastal towns, like we are now reading about Bachmut in Ukraine.”
