Don can take direction as well as brainstorm original designs and layouts. Time and effort involved in a project can vary widely. An 11x14 inch acrylic portrait on canvas averages $700; 16x20 inches $1200 (with good reference photos.) 11x14 inch cartoon paintings for children's book illustrations average $300. I have done a few 36x48 inch paintings averaging $4900. Any size canvas is available. Fine art prints of your artwork are available for friends and family.
