1. God wants First-Fruits not Last- Fruits.

Exodus 22:29 29 “You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me.

2. Giving to praise God vs giving to praise self.

Amous 4:4-5 4 “Come to Bethel, and transgress; to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days; 5 offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill offerings, publish them; for so you love to do, O people of Israel!” declares the Lord God.

3. A cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Where is your treasure?

Matthew 6:21 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
