How Indigenous veterans are being honoured ahead of Remembrance Day
Many Indigenous veterans are among Canada's most decorated war heroes, yet weren't allowed to participate in Remembrance Day ceremonies as a group for decades.
So First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Indigenous people created their own day to honour their military service.
Melissa Ridgen looks at the history of Indigenous Veterans Day, an idea which started in Winnipeg and has since spread across the country.
