Solar on Teslas have always gone hand in hand and it looks like in 2022 that vision that has been shared by Elon Musk and Tesla, among other EV makers will be coming to fruition with an option to add a viable solar roof and extendable panels. The roof kit is estimated to offer as much as 14 miles of added range under 6 hours of sunlight while the larger extendable panels that fold neatly in the trunk can add an additional 60 miles of range under ideal conditions.
