Israel says it has encircled Gaza City as G7 calls for pause in fighting - BBC News

Israel's PM Netanyahu has said the Israel Defense Force is encircling and "operating inside" Gaza City.

The G7 group of nations - including the UK and US - have called for a pause in the fighting in Gaza during a meeting in Tokyo overnight.
