Marvel’s newest film The Marvels isn’t expected to do well at the box office. The film, which cost a reported $200 million to produce, is supposed to make a measly $50-60 million — a low number by studio standards.

But a Marvel flop should hardly come as a surprise to anyone. Not only was the film badly managed, but its marketing push suffered severely from a four-month-long actor’s strike that came to an end just this week.
